I’ve had this book on my wish-list for nearly 1.5 years, and I finally decided to get this in the recent sale.

What is this book about?
Someone said this was basically just a book reframing Buddhism without all the mumbo-jumbo that’s actually part of that religion. And I think they’re about right.

Mark Manson touches on some relationship stuff which is very interesting, good for anyone that has ever been cheated on/ trust has been shattered by someone, OR… wants to build a healthy relationship, and gives advice on the nature of relationships etc.

He also talks at great length on What do you want to prioritise in life, & therefore how should you structure your life to …well prioritise these priorities.
I think this is very important and many people just assume that because they have these priorities, they will not jeopardise them, but generally people don’t do that.
AND he talks a lot about knowing yourself, or at least getting to know yourself and then being honest with the people around you so that people can grow together.

Flow of the Book
The flow of the book was good, making it easy to listen to, and it’s short enough that you can listen to it a few times over before you get bored, but also to let the points sink in more.

Recommendation
This book isn’t for everyone of course. I think mainly for 20 -30 year olds who are maybe a bit lost, but there are definitely some good points in there, which would be useful to everyone.
I’m a person that… has an erratic mind, often gets distracted, and sometimes has trouble launching into a project. I think this book was great for me, and I managed to take a few lessons away from it. ie. ‘Action before inspiration’ / ‘the art of doing’

Also I think older people, that still have the distraction problem could benefit from it. I’m recommending this to my dad for example.

All in all, a very worthwhile listen and I’m glad I finally listened to it
I will be keeping this on my device for repeat listen
