I bought this book because I’ve been listening to a lot of audio books every since I discovered audible.com and fell in love with the new way to ‘read’ books…. You know, without actually reading them.

I think being able to appreciate the story without having to actually sit down and read, is fantastic.. Cooking- listen to a book;
eating your lunch- listen to a book,
driving- listen to a book
working on something very basic- listen to a book.

These are all things that you normally need your hands for, but now you can appreciate a book at the same time.  I find it fantastic.

Anyway, I’m also… as you know having a go at creating my own blog website, and trying to document what I experience as well as learning some new things relating to websites, and getting into the modern age, so whilst I’m reviewing a book to put it onto my website, I thought I may as well have an affiliate program there from audible.

In that way my readers…mainly family and friends can benefit from discounts from the audible program or whatever the case may be.

If I’m providing the links and the recommendations… I may as well have an affiliate program in place.

This book just provides a very basic overview to the affiliate marketing programs, for everything in general, not specifically for audible.com

I already knew what affiliate programs were, but I wanted a little more depth.  This gave it, but just that little bit I was wanting.. It doesn’t go into much more than just past the general overview.

How was the book written?

This book was written like it was originally 20 small YouTube video clips on a blogging website or something.

It keeps introducing what an affiliate program is, and recaps the ‘lessons learnt’ from the previous chapter.

There’s a part in the book when he’s talking about the benefits of marketing this way, and how you earn money from, he ends up plugging some learning materials from another source (a paid course) which sounds like affiliate marketing within an audio book about affiliate marketing.

So that was fairly ironic and kind of funny.

Extra information?

It was cheap.  2.76 USD (audible member price)

So I bought it for the money, not for the credit.

In my mind it was worth it. I read the reviews on the books out there regarding affiliate programs, and this looked like it was the best.

In my mind, this is worth the money.

I think with affiliate programs though, you make the most progress when you contact the companies directly and doing the research yourself.

That being said, this book gives you a good foundation for making that happen.
