So pub quiz.
Awesome. I forget if I’ve written about this before, but every Thursday evening recently I participate in the Shuangjing, The Brick Drunken pub quiz.
It’s a normal pub quiz, general knowledge kind of stuff, but you also get points for each shot that you drink as well.
It’s meant to be 2 people to a team. And I’m with my friend Shaun from America. He’s one of my best friend’s here in Beijing. I stayed with him for a couple of months as I was between apartments a few years ago and we had a great time.
He’s been in China for 11 years I think, and he’s the guy that I did the Chinese drivers license with. Pretty funny experience that whole process.
Anyway, it just so happens that Shaun can really drink, and he’s amazing at the song and book rounds, whilst I’m better at the geography, general knowledge…. and I’m not so bad at the drinking as well.
So anyway, I have to say we haven’t been doing that badly. Last month we came 1st once, 2nd once, and apparently 2nd a 3rd time although I didn’t know about that because… I might have had 1 too mnay beers.
The point is, that we managed to come 2nd overall and we got presented with little medals for our achievement.
Pretty good.
