Why? bored at work. Plus a good friend, well a guy that i know that is becoming a better and better friend suggested it to me.
Ok so this is what he sent me:
https://www.16personalities.com/istp-personality
It’s a relatively quick quiz, and then it kind of shows you the kind of personality you have.
Or what the quiz thinks (possibly incorrectly) you have.
I feel like there should be a option of… ‘do you like other people telling you what you are and what kind of personality you have?’ yes, no, go fuck yourself.
And then maybe we could get some more realistic results.
My friend sent me a different one before that is supposed to be very comprehensive, but I’ll let you check out a few of the screen shots I took to know just what kind of dumb arse questions there were.
Supposedly very comprehensive, however when the answer can quite honestly be- both. In many situations . ie:

And you do use both… well you have to guess at 1 don’t you? Or in different situations you do things differently… you don’t do the same thing in every situation.. then because that would be stupid.

I think to be honest if I had that question from above, my answer would be ‘no, go fuck yourself’
From the other test:
I assumed half way through the test that it would come to this conclusion ‘You are a psychopath. We have already contact the authorities, please wait to be taken away’
Anyway, this is where you can take the 1st test….that I don’t so much agree with:

That being said.. the result from 16 personalities is probably quite close to what my actual personality is.

Through just looking at some of the questions, I can see that this one is more in-line with what I would expect from a test like this:

Anyway, what did the results explanation say?
The ENTP personality type is the ultimate devil’s advocate, thriving on the process of shredding arguments and beliefs and letting the ribbons drift in the wind for all to see. Unlike their more determined Judging (J) counterparts, ENTPs don’t do this because they are trying to achieve some deeper purpose or strategic goal, but for the simple reason that it’s fun. No one loves the process of mental sparring more than ENTPs, as it gives them a chance to exercise their effortlessly quick wit, broad accumulated knowledge base, and capacity for connecting disparate ideas to prove their points.
An odd juxtaposition arises with ENTPs, as they are uncompromisingly honest, but will argue tirelessly for something they don’t actually believe in, stepping into another’s shoes to argue a truth from another perspective.
Hahahah that was apparently exactly the same as my granddad. – Studying pure mathematics ands having gone to both Oxford & Cambridge, would love to have an argument for the fun of having an argument and using logic to argue different things.
ENTPs, like all Analyst (NT) personality types, are on a constant quest for knowledge, and what better way to gain it than to attack and defend an idea, from every angle, from every side?
ENTPs only make up about three percent of the population, which is just right, as it lets them create original ideas, then step back to let more numerous and fastidious personalities handle the logistics of implementation and maintenance.
The cynical bastard part of my personality is thinking that…coincidentally and rather conveniently every personality makes up only 3% and no one is curious enough to check that 3% x 16 different personalities doesn’t = 100%
(As the ‘logician’ the one that my friend got, was also ‘coincidentally’ 3%)
Weaknesses of the debater:
- Intolerant – Unless people are able to back up their ideas in a round of mental sparring, ENTPs are likely to dismiss not just the ideas but the people themselves. Either a suggestion can stand up to rational scrutiny or it’s not worth bothering with.
- Can Find It Difficult to Focus – The same flexibility that allows ENTPs to come up with such original plans and ideas makes them readapt perfectly good ones far too often, or to even drop them entirely as the initial excitement wanes and newer thoughts come along. Boredom comes too easily for ENTPs, and fresh thoughts are the solution, though not always a helpful one.
Yep. Well this wasn’t the only ones, but yep.
Much as an athlete competes for the physical exertion and the spirit of competition itself, ENTPs debate for the sake intellectual stimulation and for the debate itself, and even in overwhelming victory or crushing defeat, it’s never about dominance, only inspiration to try harder next time.
ENTPs are actually remarkably good at communicating with friends and acquaintances of other personality types. Their natural tendency to argue as effectively as possible means that ENTPs are accustomed to communicating in other people’s language and frame of reference, and this translates well into normal conversation.
On parenting:
ENTP personalities create relaxed, unorthodox environments for their children, founded on enthusiasm and the joy of discovery through the development of reason, not heavily structured settings designed merely to be safe.

Oh and here are some other ‘Debaters’ apparenlty:

Well whatever… I suppose I should get back to whatever the hell I’m meant to officially be doing.
And that actually coincides with this personality test.
I’m ‘working’ ie. I’m doing a job to provide the funds to live and support other ideas that I really want to work on.
One day I’ll quit, and fully explore those ideas and try to make something out of them.
Stay sexy people
