Ok So was meant to go trampolining today… with a friend, but it seems he’s broken his collarbone. Don’t worry he did it whilst doing something cool. He was racing a motorbike. (On a track)  And so he needs to rest up for the next 4 months after the surgery and probably bouncing on a trampoline is not the greatest idea.

Fair enough.

But at least he was doing something cool.

So yep, I’m going to pass by his house anyway, eat some Dunkin Doughnuts… I have no idea where he gets them from, and sort out some motor-bikey stuff.

Specifically—the Shineray 250’s front shocks. Since 2 or was it 3? Crashes… 1 particularly violent lets say, the front forks are munted.  They’re not so munted to be honest, I can still drive, but they do rattle when I drive and apparently they are visibly bent.   At least to everyone that’s been driving more than 10 years.

So have been looking for a pair of new front forks.

I find this strange though because the ones above are 2,000 something RMB yet my whole bike with all the registration only cost 9,000.
The forks are actually for a different bike… I think an actual dirt bike which would explain why they’re more expensive, but also… I can’t find the actual ones I’m looking for.

I think this is because the Shineray XY-250-10 doesn’t seemed to be sold officially.

I think the reason why, is because this is the 2nd generation from a copy of a Yamaha bike known as the trixxter. Or…something like this. And they don’t want to even list it on their website. (Despite the fact that you can buy it from the Shineray dealership, and register it in China).
