So, yep only 4 days left.
And what do I still have left to do?
Well, originally I was going to travel to Poland to visit my friend Janek, which you might have read about in other posts namely uk-france-netherlands-poland-germany-uk-france.
But it seems all of the flights, just wouldn’t work out… so instead I decided to get him a ticket to come back to Leiden. So he will come Saturday morning, and leaving Sunday evening.
We will go to Katvijk, the apparent ‘home of incest’ for the Netherlands … and do some exploring, maybe go to the beach and see the North Sea for the last time.
We will try another variety of magical truffles… because…why wouldn’t we. Pictured here with my awesome mushroom socks.
And then the rest is up to be decided.
I will have a small goodbye dinner Sunday evening with the housemates, kind of thinking about taking them all out to dinner and having a couple of drinks actually.
I will have my very last physiotherapy session with my physio, Martin who is an incredibly nice guy and has helped me out a lot. And from this, hopefully get the rest of my movement back in my left shoulder.
Then Monday evening I leave, hopefully I’ll manage to fit everything in. I’ve already sent stuff back and packed my bag more or less to know if everything is good, but I’ll just have to wait and see for Monday to see if I’m right.
Then Monday evening I fly to the UK, visit family- Liz and David, which I’m looking forward to seeing to be honest. And then have to send another parcel back from there.. (I originally sent them a box of stuff from china, as the original plan was that I work in the UK)
I was meant to catch up with my God-mother Marianne, and my uncle Neil & Aunty Jo, who all live in Cornwall (very South East of the UK) but unfortunately it seems Marianne is very busy that time, and as the trip seems to be 7 hours 1 way, it will be very difficult to make in time.
So that’s unfortunate….but I guess its just the way it works.
Then I will fly to Paris on the 23rd of November and that evening catch up with and old friend, Tiguida. And then travel down by train to Bordeaux on the 24th to meet Pierre, and then we will travel to Maxime’s mum and dad’s place in the countryside for their wedding on the 25th.
26th, which is actually my birthday, we will have some more celebrations, and then I will fly from Bordeaux to Beijing at 8pm.
Then I’m there for exactly 1 month to catch up with friends that obviously I didn’t get to catch up with due to the accident last time. And I’m really looking forward to that.
Finally get to ride some dirt bikes, doing some vlogs with Galen, go gay-clubbing with some Dutch friends…which we never got to do before, see Michael and Victoria in Chengdu, have a couple or… 12 drinks with Shaun at The Brick, and maybe catch up with Winston again in Shenzhen.
Run a couple of business ideas through with Adrien and a few other friends.. buy a couple more things for my next project and a whole heap of other things.
And the off to Thailand (Chiang mai) for another friend’s wedding… and then finally back to Australia.
So, I’m almost done with Europe. The next 10 days will be exciting but very busy. I won’t be returning for quite a while to be honest.
And although I’ve met many great people that I can call friends & tried many new and interesting things whilst being here, I’m quite happy about starting another chapter away from Europe. I hope these people know that I will carry them with me, and know that they are never far from my thoughts.
