Narrated by: Christopher John Fetherolf
Length: 2 hrs 45 mins.
Ok so this is a tie in book, that I paid for with cash, because its not worth spending a credit on because it’s so cheap. (4.95 as compared to the cost of 1 credit which is 14 USD)
Its just a little tie-in story set just after the 1st book, affectionately book 1.5., which happens just after Bill takes over Village Coven when him and his friends, + Sally end up killing Jeff.
When Bill gets annoyed after stipulating that the vampires he now apparently governs should not kill random people & try to diminish their baser instincts a bit, and them clearly disregarding his wishes…he decides to give them something to fear.
Bill and his friends Ed & Tom decide that he will adorn a motorbike helmet, black cladding and oven trays under his clothes for armour and take to the streets saving people from the vampires of his own coven.
It’s a very short story, and even though Bill of course wins in the end, it’s still interesting.
The narrator is still the same, as for instance book 4.5 –Sunset Strip, is narrated by a lady instead… probably because that is Sally’s story and it’s much more fitting.
But good to hear there’s some continuity in that.
Recommendation?
If you’re looking to hear what the Bill the Vampire books are all about…to be honest, still probably not… just get audible trial membership and get the 1st book for free. This story doesn’t add anything, or even introduce anything of the bigger grander story that spans the rest of the series… so by itself, it isn’t that great.
But if you’ve already listened to the rest of the books in the series, or are half way through, and are enjoying them thus far, then yes, it’s a nice little listen, but not necessary.
Listen to a sample here if you wish, Night Stalker book 1.5
Get a free trial of audible with 2 free books, listen to the Tome of Bill, but maybe not this exact book for free, & then if you want….just quit before 30 days & you get to keep everything… sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
