My dutch license finally came through!  

I managed to pick it up Thursday morning.   And its Pink!

 

They gave me the motorbike license, however because my Australian license is restricted, restricted in Australia means to 660cc; in the Netherlands they gave me THEIR restricted motorbike license, however their restricted means only 35kw.  

And i]I looked up the power output of my bike and it turns out its 72 kw. 

 

So it looks like i’m still driving slightly illegally..  But whatever.  Better to be as legal as possible. I’m not going to change my bike just because the Dutch licensing restrictions is retarded.

 

For plans for the central asian trip.  Bob & I have begun making sponsorship emails to send out to Camera places, and have begun brainstorming for ideas for goals to make it viable, missions, causes to support, routes, etc.  

Bob already got an email back from Sony asking how many followers we had on youtube/ facebook.  So we know now that we need a social media presence… so we plan to set up something like that. 

 

But knowing all this information now.. it might have to be delayed. 

 

Apparently based on a challenge from another housemate, bob decided to eat a giant jar of beetroot in one sitting.  The other housemate filmed him…which apparently took a good 45 mins before he realised if he ate another spoonful, he would vomit.  We’re thinking of putting that video online just to show ‘what kind of people are Bob & David’  to show the determination of Bob’s personality. 

Hahaha I think that would be very stupid, but pretty funny. 

 

I had a big presentation, our client came to visit our warehouse and operations… and i was the key person to give that tour / presentation etc..  and everything went very well… so i’m quite happy and relaxed this weekend. 

 

  I went to my first ab-workout last night.. and i was in pain after 4 mins… it’s pretty insane.  But something like that is a bit of a wake-up call to say… yep, i’m a bit unfit… need to change that. 

 

Tom will come Monday, i have had zero contact from him….because….it’s tom. I will take a day off but organise that when i actually meet him because otherwise i don’t know what is the best time to do it. 

I think he can do all those museums by himself in Amsterdam, and we can do some driving around Netherlands a bit after he’s done that.   Will be great to just catch up  

I will go out to a camera store this afternoon, and a hardware store to get some maintenance kits for my motorbike.   I think for my own knowledge + also for the future of this central asian trip.. it’s good to start to know some basic mechanics. 

 

Also,  I’ve started to learn simultaneously Moonlight Sonata movement 1, & Sonata Pathetique movement 1 as well.  I’ve always wanted to play those 2 full sonatas (all 3 movements each)  so I thought… well if i’m bored in the Netherlands… why not. 

It’s pretty damn difficult to be honest.
