-Motorbikes aren’t legally allowed to drive on the Ring roads
– If these stopped motorbikes have their license and registration then punishment = 3 demerit point & 100 元 fine.
– If they don’t have their license or registration for the bike… bike is confiscated, and will have to pay a fine.. if they’re unlucky they’re looking at 10 days jail time
– If they have don’t have their license but have the registration, or is registered in someone else’s name, then bike gets confiscated, & person who’s name it is has to pick it up and can still be fine for allowing someone not having a license to drive. The drive may face a large fine, or with some smooth talking may just get a slap on the wrist.
-Foreigners & Chinese be aware, driving on the ring roads is forbidden, even if it’s much safer and quicker than the Fulu 辅路 (side roads)
