Weekend 19th 20th November

Friday night, I organised a ‘drunken disney’ move night with my housemates.

The idea is that we all have a few drinks, and then watch a bunch of disney movies together and the aim is to make the most inappropriate comments possible.

We ended up watching Shrek the 3rd (yes not disney), half of Snow white….turns out that movie is really boring, even if you’re drunk, and The Prince of Egypt. That is a hardcore movie, filled with religious propaganda… i think it’s disney’s idea of making up for their supposed anti- Semitic reputation.

But anyway… there were many funny jokes made, most of them downright terrible…. but i’ll leave your imagination to decide what was said.

oh yeah, and what did I buy to prepare us for the evening?

So you can guess it went pretty well.

Normally….because yes I’ve done this kind of movie night before in Australia, you’re meant to sing along to the songs as well… but its a little difficult when its a propaganda based religious one.

So first I had to work, because… well the reasons outlined in the previous article about the warehouse manager being….less than competent. But all was good there, just that I intended to go down and see the Redbull knockout beach race in Den Haag.

Anyway. Work on a Saturday…it reminded me of work in Australia at the warehouse. There’s a certain relaxed air about it, because it’s almost as if you know that you’re not meant to be there.

And then I DID end up driving down to the Hague to see if I could catch the end of the beach race….but was unfortunately too late. All I ended up seeing was a couple of people driving around the course having fun. And it looked like a lot of fun. Would have loved not to participate in the beach race but just to have access to that course for a couple of hours.
